Sara M. Webster on panel of experts discussing distracted driving risks
Bucks County criminal defense attorney Sara Webster served on a panel of experts for Survive UR Drive™: A Safe Driving Program for Teens, presented in April to make young drivers aware of the far-reaching effects of not giving their full attention when behind the wheel.
Webster shared her extensive professional experience here in Bucks County with young people in motor vehicle and drug and alcohol cases, explaining the realities that most families don’t get to see until it is too late.
Three other Central Bucks experts participated on the panel: Officer Dave Carlen, Doylestown Borough Police; Robert Dorfman, an EMT who has been responding at accident scenes for 27 years; and Eric Ermigiotti, retired Central Bucks School District teacher whose son, a high school student, died in a distracted driving car crash.
Central Bucks Family YMCA and Fred Beans Family of Dealerships partnered to develop Survive UR Drive™ in 2013 for teens and their parents. The April event was the third time out for the program, which has been open to teens and their parents in Central Bucks at no charge. Supporting the Y and Fred Beans in bringing this program to the community are TMA Bucks and Doylestown Borough Police.
