DUI: License Suspension
The consequences of a DUI conviction–jail, fines, license suspensions–are constantly changing.
In 2019 the law changed to allow a DUI/ARD suspension (30-90 days) and a first offense DUI suspension of one year to retain driving privileges with an interlock license.
Approval and receipt of an interlock license can be tricky. To maintain uninterrupted driving privileges, the timing of the conviction, petition for an ILL (Ignition Interlock License), installation of the interlock device is crucial.
